Friends..

The following photos are of friends who we have met on our travels or have flown with us in recent times.

Congratulations Ryan.

Anyone who has been out to the Kiwi Thunder hangar will probably have met Ryan, he is the guy that helps us out and keeps the plane and hangar looking great. Ryan has recently won a flying scholarship and we would like to extend our congratulations to him along with our thanks for the work he does around the hangar.

Werner Flohr - Germany

We recently met Werner and his friend on  hot sunny day at Whitianga airfield, they had just completed a circumnavigation of New Zealand in a rented Cessna 172 and were on their final leg back to Ardmore. Werner came over to visit us at the hangar later and took these pictures. Many thanks Werner and we hope that you enjoyed your flying in NZ, see you next time.

Chloe joined Simon recently for a flight out of Ardmore thanks to her Dad Graeme who is also a pilot.

Aircraft make a great backdrop for an aviation themed photography shoot at Ardmore. Well I will let you judge for yourself.....

Richard Price joined Chris in November 2008 for a scenic ride over the Hauraki Gulf, if the grin on his face when we got back was anything to go by.....I think he enjoyed it.

Gabby the Aviatrix...

This is Gabby who joined Simon for a flight in the Thunder Mustang recently, she went from looking a little nervous before her flight to a HUGE grin afterwards and we love to hear things like "Hi I just want to say thank you so so so so so so much for my ride in the plane it was the best thing I have ever done in my life...... And now you have made me want to get my pilot license"
